Forgiveness Enters the Chat
In January 2026, Forgive For You: A Memoir of Family, Fury, and Freedom published and officially launched on Amazon. The ebook got things started, the audiobook went live in mid-February, and the paperback sealed the deal in late February. All formats are now available at book retailers large and small all across the internet.
In getting this over the finish line, very little went as planned, but everything went as it should. After a lifetime of living this story, and months (and months) (and more months) of writing it, recording it, revising it, and moving it through all the publishing modes, Forgive For You is finally out in the world doing what books do: Finding its way to readers like you.
Long before launch, so many folks asked a version of the same generous question: How can I support?
First, thank you. Truly. This whole (ad)venture from manuscript to memoir to movement exists because people care enough to be inquisitive and thoughtful about forgiveness.
For anyone wanting to support the book and/or the larger idea of forgiveness as an accessible, practical, learnable life skill, here are a few simple ways to do just that.
🏆We’re #1! Or Not!
If you’re competitive, boost the book on Amazon with an order and/or a review. This revs up the rankings to give the book a stronger shot of becoming #1 in an Amazon book category. If you’re anti-Amazon, all good. Support and review however feels best for you.
📚 Friends with Book Clubs
If you’re in a book club, or know someone in a book club, or know someone who knows someone in a book club, pitch Forgive For You as their next read. There's also the FORget-together, a unique book club experience where we gather to reset what we think we know about forgiveness – and maybe even leave with one less grudge to carry.
🍵 More Matcha, Please & Thank You
For most of my adult life, caffeine for work hasn’t been a thing. Coffee (even decaf) feels terrible in my body – racy heart, jitters, sweats, bleh. Green tea makes me light-headed. Black tea does not a whole lot beyond flavor my water. All of which is to say, i’ve never got the point of caffeine.
But in December 2024, a trip to Japan included a tea ceremony, during which i drank 2 cups of pure matcha with NO idea of its caffeine content. Within 15 minutes, i felt like somebody flicked on ALL the lights in my brain and i could see the Matrix. Meanwhile, my body felt as calm as a pond on a windless day.
In January 2025, i started writing the book and found my best writing days started with a matcha. Just 8oz in the morning, and i could sit down, dial in, and write for 5-6 hours straight, no breaks or distractions needed. This book has ~50,000 words, and it took ~5,000 hours to write. That’s a lotta matcha!
The website Buy Me a Coffee offers an easy way to support creative work. There isn’t an equivalent matcha-focused site, but if you do offer what you can, you know where it’s going. More matcha, please!
